CranioSacral Therapy Services
What is Craniosacral therapy?
CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a hands-on technique developed by osteopathic physician Dr. John Upledger to help gently release restrictions in the body and balance the central nervous system. By releasing restrictions and promoting balance, CST helps improve body function and quality of life.
Who I help
As a CranioSacral therapist with 6+ years of experience, I began my practice working with infants. Currently, my primary focus is infants who have or have had a tongue tie. However, I enjoy working with clients of all ages and often have entire families come to me for CranioSacral therapy.
CST is beneficial to people of all ages, however, because CranioSacral is gentle and non-invasive, it is particularly appropriate for infants, children, and pregnant women.
In pregnancy, CST can help improve:
- round ligament pain
- back pain
- sacrum/pelvic pain
It can also promote relaxation and a general sense of well-being during a time when a woman’s body is rapidly changing.
For infants, CranioSacral can relieve:
- general fussiness
- breastfeeding difficulties
- symptoms related to tongue tie
Babies who have experienced a precipitous birth, a long labor, Cesarean birth, or instrumental delivery (forceps or vacuum) can greatly benefit from CST.
